Its members present complementary interests and expertise in different areas, such as the molecular genetics and pathology of cystic fibrosis, regulation of gene expression, intracellular signal transduction, mechanisms of lung infection and inflammation, pharmaceutical modelling and chemical synthesis, technological transfer and industrial pharmaceutical development, clinical therapy and the assessment of novel drugs in controlled clinical trials in patients affected by cystic fibrosis.
